Yawntreshia Coleman is Treasurer of He is Me Institute’s board of directors. She is an entrepreneur and education advocate based in Birmingham, AL. Yawntreshia graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA with a major in Business Administration: Accounting and a minor in Human Services Counseling. She has worked as a staff accountant, public policy coordinator, and resource development manager before focusing on becoming a serial “mompreneur.
For the past 13 years,Yawntreshia has been the Managing Director of Coleman & Company, a limited liability company that grows businesses by providing tools, funding, and systems to help them scale. In addition, she directs operations of several ventures under the LLC’s brand, and is an active Real Estate & Business Investor and member of several boards. Yawntreshia is founder of multiple startups, an equity partner in a few businesses, and an independent business funding agent.
Yawntreshia is described as “creative, bubbly, innovative, compassionate, honest, and loyal.” Her passion is making a transformative community impact through economics and advocacy. She educates youth about finances and investing through her venture, Camp Trep. Her goal is to create a new normal where entrepreneurship and wealth-building are added into national and state education standards.
Yawntreshia is an alumna of 4.0 Schools Essentials, a fellowship program that supports early phase entrepreneurs as they take an idea to a viable concept and then test it. She launched Magic City Food Tours & Luxury Picnics in 2021. Yawntreshia is an Alabama Master Gardener Intern. She balances business, philanthropy, and board service with raising three daughters with her husband, Larry Coleman II.
