He is Me Institute Founder Receives Fellowship to Develop Teacher Prep Program for Black Men

Robert Hendricks, He is Me Institute Founder and Executive Director was recently selected to join the 4.0 Schools Tiny Fellowship. The Tiny Fellowship helps new and aspiring founders take their idea to a proof point that is ready to grow. Hendricks and the He is Me Institute is one of 46 ventures selected to join the cohort out of a pool of over 240 applicants. 

He is Me Institute Funded to Support Black Male Teachers in PreK-12 Classrooms

He is Me, led by Robert Hendricks, Founder and Executive Director, is one of 14 organizations in the cohort. Each cohort member is committed to enhancing the recruitment, development and retention of underrepresented teachers, (including Black, Latino, Asian/Pacific Islander and Native American/Alaskan Native teachers). In addition to financial support, NewSchools will provide management assistance and create a community of practice for the cohort members.
